Hunger Games OCT: Nor

My character for:


(Who still need more Tributes, btw, so if you'd like to toss an original character in to fight 23 others to the death, go right on ahead.)

An AU version of an older character you guys may recognize.

Name: Nor Kastner
Age: 18
District: 3
Health issues: Nearsightedness in his brown eye, but since it's compensated for by his good one, it won't be an issue unless his good eye is somehow compromised.
Body type: He's tall, but very thin. He's underweight and used to a meager food intake.
Eye Colour: One blue eye, one brown eye.

Strength: Nor was the brightest student in school by far. His IQ, though never tested, no doubt hovers somewhere in the genius range - he's extremely adept at mathematics and physics, and started toying around with creating things from spare parts found in his district from a young age. Creating completely original tech and solving complex equations is a breeze for him, but this might not be worth much in the arena. He sees the entire world as a problem to solve; as so, his natural strength in the arena will be his ability to think logically and rationally and to emotionlessly work his way through a set problem to do what needs to be done. Also it's just an offhand quirk, useful for his job back home, but he's ambidextrous.
Vulnerability/ies: He's obviously not very physically strong. Hand to hand combat will be his greatest downfall, as he's never done it in his life. He's also never used weapons before.
Family: Doesn't have family - he was just a little kid when his parents were killed in a fire in one of the factories.
Significant other: Says he has no one.

Personality: He's very quiet and easily looked over - nothing that would serve him well in an interview. He tends to be blunt and to the point, sometimes moving over to being snarky and abrasive when his patience wears thin. He's not very aggressive however, and prefers to keep a distance from people, physically and emotionally. He's a worrier, and might become so overwhelmed by it at times that he will completely shut off from the world - he's not very good at communicating with people too, and can come off as cold and aloof when he doesn't mean to. Mathematical minded, he approaches most of his problems rationally as things to be solved, from point A through to point D. This helps him stay calm when things get rough and be able to zero in on a goal, but sometimes overcomplicates things for him.
Token: A simple black leather bracelet he got from Ivan, only dons it right before he goes into the arena and he's super protective of it.
